Clock on nav screen?

Hi all,

Just picked up a Regency Red SX V6. Very impressed with the quiet powerful engine ride and comfort.

Originally looking at an EX, but liked the extra gadgets on the SX, plus we really wanted the bigger center dash screen, the one in the EX is really kind of small, a bit of a joke when you look at the competition. Even the base models of most of them are a larger screen.

The EX did have a dedicated button for the clock, which allowed the screen to show nothing but a clock. In the SX this doesn't seem possible. It gives you the option of a digital or analog clock and whether to show the clock of not as a screensaver, but I can't figure out how to make this happen?

Anyone know how to make this happen? Or is this just another case of Canadian decontenting (like the UVO eservices)?

Also anyone know the most current Nav map for Canada. I've seen an online matrix refered to in another post that says the one ending in 4.1 is most current in the US, but the most recent one in Canada ends in 3.1. The reason I ask is when we picked up the car and the dealer put the SD card in (the one that was supposedly specific to our VIN) an error message displayed the system needed and update. When he put in a card from some other car (not a Sorento) it seemed to work. I'm scared we didn't get the most up to date software. (I didn't realize how the system worked until after I got the car and read this forum, new cards in Canada are over $300!)

I'm sure I'll have other questions as we've only had the car for a week now. So far so good!

Map versions are the same in the US and Canada. Software and firmware versions will be different.

Only way to display the clock all the time is to turn the system off (that's what the screensaver setting you found is). This should be the same way with the base unit as well except it has a button to give quick access to setting the clock.
