I finally pulled the trigger tonight on a 2016 Sorento SXL 2.0t with the tech package. Loving the car:)
I normally use the proclip mounts but they have crappy vent mounts only. Can you guys/gals provide info or pics where/how you mounted your phones in the 2016 Sorento? Thanks

I just set mine in the little cubby in the console in front of the gear-shift and lean it up under the USB, AUX & power ports. I have an iPhone 5S and it fits there perfectly; even when using the Apple or Google Maps and want/need to glance down at it. No mounting bracket/holder needed.

I got this one and it works pretty well actually in the front cup holder. Keeps it so everything is still accessible in the car and I'm not covering an air vent:

IMO this one is the best.

I got an aftermarket radio and even though It's been years since the last time I used a CD in my cars, I consider the CD slot in the Aftermarket HU very fragile, so no go with those other mounts.

I got a Note 5 and the cup holder mount is just perfect IMO.

Mountek nGroove

Mounted nGroove

This is what I use. Once every couple of months I have to tighten the screw behind the mount with a quarter (a turn or two). But otherwise, it's been great. It sits right above the LCD screen so it's a perfect height. I use to use this in my Hyundai Veloster and never took it out because I dont' use the CD. I did notice that the foam that covered the opening to the CD chamber started to flatten, but then again I didn't use the CD and have already traded-in the Veloster (for my 2016 Kia Sorento).

I use a MagicMount for my phone. There's a small arm that suction cups to the windshield and the end of the arm has a magnet on it. Then they give you a small metal plate with double sided tape. I put that under my otterbox case and you'd never know it was there. Then when I want to use it, I just place the phone on the arm. Perfect view, and I don't have to hassle with adjusting a clip. The magnet is very strong too; my phone has never fallen and I have a very large phone (iPhone 6 Plus)

I like iOttie mount

Hi, after several mounts for my iPhones I found the mount by iOttie to be the best. I used it with iPhone 5 and 6, most Androids would work too. You can adjust it in many ways. The one best thing about it is that it sticks very well. And I mean it. It is almost impossible to remove it. I use it in both my cars. From descriptions I like the cup holder mounts too, but to look at the phone you have to look down. With dash mounts you just glance over it and you keep your eyes on the road almost all the time. Just my opinion. Great suggestions others. Very useful!
