Hey Everyone

Just ordered a 2015 SX AWD V6 in the 'best color' black. They havent confirmed pick up date but December 24 or 27 is the estimate.
Coming from a 2006 Mazdaspeed 6 GT. I will be sacrifing some sportiness but I am very excited to move into a larger vehicle. Being off the ground, added cargo capacity and just wanting a more comfortable vehicle for my son and I have pushed me into CUV/SUV territory. Going to add Weather tech Mats, and tow package further down the road for a tent trailer.
I didnt think i could beat the warranty and features in the Sorento.

Looking forward to my first new vehicle. The dealer was trying to push me into a dealer executive demo. When I realized the cost difference was minimal for a 10mth old car I asked them to price the new one. To my surprise it worked out to be cheaper for new in the color I really wanted.

Although I am pretty picky on keeping the car clean so maybe the silver would have worked out better. Ha.

Probably because of the savings he got (or will be getting) if he was shown a price of the 2016 Sorentos. To most, saving $3000-$5000 in exchange of an older model is worth it - which in turn inversely related to customers who don't mind spending $3000-$5000 more in turn for the latest model.

Same here. I NEVER buy a first year design in cars, as there are almost always some issues. Even if they aren't earth shattering, it's still a pain to have them in a new vehicle.
1 year (at least) into a major redesign for me, unless it's very minor like the 2014-15 was.

Actually, the 2014 was a major change from 2013. Officially, it was only a mid-cycle refresh, but the entire chassis, engine (V6), interior and front/rear facias were all new. According to Kia the whole vehicle was more than 80% new.

For 2016, it's considered a full redesign, but the engine/trans/drivetrain is all carried over from 14/15.

And FYI, I haven't had a single problem in almost 2 years with my 2104.

My 2011 was (obviously) year-1, and had a few bugs. Driver window switch would become inoperative, dome light over 2nd row rarely worked, and latch to adjust/fold right-side 2nd row seat was so hard to operate, it felt like it would break. We also had the recall issue where the brake switch failed and you couldn't put the car in gear (had to get it towed to the dealer). Later in life, the radio started dropping the bluetooth connection to my phone. Sometimes had to pull over, park, turn off the vehicle and open a door, then start it back up again to reset it. Necessary, as I occasionally drive for business and needed to be on calls.

Took it in for the other switch, light and latch issues a few months into ownership, and they didn't fix any of them. They told me the latch was like that on all, which it wasn't as I had rentals which had no issue. I don't think they even looked at the window switch or dome light.

Airbags were still good when it was totaled, though!!
