Default Differences between 2015 and 2014 MY Sorentos

I see the 2015 MY sorentos are starting to hit the U.S. showrooms.

Anyone know what the differences are vs the 2014.

Have heard the 2.4 engine was tweeked to improve gas mileage.

Ask Kia Canada for a comparison. The results might be difference comparing US year models that are not the same as Canadian year models.

I am thinking differences like modifications to the 2.4 engine will be the same.
Indeed as regards the 2014 MY, the only difference between Cdn and U.S. models was the availability of nappa leather in the U.S. Other than that, the differences were in combinations of options. The Cdn SX was the same as the U.S. SXL save for the nappa leather.
New MY vehicles tend to be available in the U.S. before Canada; thus see the 2015 on the U.S. site along with the 2014, but only the 2014 on the Cdn site.

Had a look at the U.S. specs. Without doing a detailed comparison to the 2014 specs, appeared to be the same other than dropping the SX from the SXL so now just the Limited.
I also note that no change to heated steering wheel and heated 2nd row seats in the U.S., only way to get them is in the Limited as is the case with the SXL for the 2014's.
Those are great features in colder climates in winter.
At least in Canada, they are standard starting at the EX level.

Interesting that 3rd row seating has been made standard on the SX and SXL models, not even a delete option. I wouldn't be happy with that as the 3rd row seat offers little utility and love the under floor storage freed up by not having that 3rd row.

Dang glad I got 2014. No way do I want that mini row and the lost storage area when it is folded.

Guess if you want an SX/SXL model without the 3rd row seat, better get the 2014 model while they last; wonder if will make the same change in Canadian models.
Only reason it appears to get a 2015 MY is one less years depreciation if/when you go to trade it in, in a few years.
Upside is no regrets at having bought a 2014. Hate it when a new model year comes out with options you'd love to have but weren't available.
Almost got a 2013 a year ago, when heard 2014's were coming out soon with attractive benefits over the 2013.(Note 2014 came out several months later in Canada than in the U.S.)
