Need to lock key in car - any ideas

I park in a commuter lot every day. When i arrive the lot is full and they double park cars until people start leaving later in the day. I leave the car unlocked, with the key inside and the lot attendant moves the car to an open space as they open up. He then locks the key in the car so it is secure once he leaves. With my old cars I would carry a spare key so i could unlock the car and I'd be good to go.

We just purchased a 2014 Sorrento last week. When I tried to lock the Keyfob in the car today, I realized that it wasn't letting me. Does anyone know of a way to be able to leave the key fob in the car and lock the doors using the lock on the door?

Remove the battery from the keyfob. It will still work to start the vehicle if held right next to the start button (as with a dead fob battery). Vehicle will not know it is inside. Attendant can use the "armrest lock button" before closing the door. You will need the "emergency key" to unlock vehicle or the other fob. Would also try DonH's suggestion, if you can find a bag like that. Wrapping a piece of aluminum foil around it might work, not sure if either of those options would tend to drain the fob battery.
