Which version of Navigation do you get in your car?

I just brought my 2013 SX with in dash navi, and the version of the maps is V4, but I knoe the V5 version is on sale. I can't log to buy it on the website of Kia, and my dealer dosen't agree to change the version in my system. But, how can you sell a car with an update more than 1 year old in the GPS?

Should be like when buying a Garmin GPS. You get 1 free map upgrade for lagtime of the hardware and software. I would call a KIA district rep for that clarfication. Come on auto dealers. If you want to be part of the info age reasonable and often updates should be available. Most Garmin GPS come with lifetime updates included in the price. I would not by a map system with KIA. 99.00 for an update. Give me a break!!

Let me know what you find out from Kia. I too just purchased a 2013 Sorento SX and it has V4 as well.

Mine is the Garmin version.

Works better and free updates for life.

And with the Garmin you can position the screen so your looking straight at the screen.The factory nav units would be a bit more user friendly if the screen was adjustable, like swivel side to side and placed up higher near the top of the dash!
