I will be buying a 2014 awd SX next summer. Can't wait!!!!! They did a great job. Toyota made a huge mistake dropping the V6 for their 2013 Rav4. Their loss is Kia's gain LOL

my goodness.. good thing i bought the 11-13 sorento sx model.. (sorry 2014 lovers just IMO)

the features of the inside are good, but it seems you will solely rely on all the features.. well its a good thing more on safety side..
anyway, my thoughts, just remove that slit on the bumper, and re-design fog lights.. 1 inch less and its a ford edge drl lol..
tail lights seems car-like now too.. i wish they made the tail lights whole, not partially cut-off

Yeah the 2011-13 SX's are my only exception. I really don't like all the plastic cladding they used on the 11-13 EX trims and lower. The front and sides are okay, but the rear end there is just too much. I'm glad they cut back on it in 2014. I'm really digging the new interior and gauge cluster though.

The headlights are really nice too...glad they added the LED DRL.

it says EXL on the display so just ex-luxury, there might be still an SX trim.. like 2011 sorento came out at 2010 and sx trim did not come out close to end of last quarter of 2010.. maybe or maybe not will see a different style on the sx trim..

I'm pretty sure that's the top model, the sxl, as discussed in the link. Those are chrome wheels only available on the sxl. Lists a few good features but I like the 11-13 sx bumpers better. Also, not everything may be available in all markets.

The article did state the SXL model gets the red painted brake calipers. Photos show red brake calipers...

TFT Center gauge cluster....LED Positioning lights on the headlights...auto leveling HID's.

290 hp V6......and SONAR! I could have used some SONAR yesterday when that old lady hit me with her shopping cart...!

The 2014 model is not a "refresh", it is a substantial redesign, "80% of the parts on the 2014 Sorento are new/different than the 2013 model":

1) All new lightweight chassis - borrowed from the new Santa Fe, the structure is completely new
2) The 3.5L V6 is dead. Its replaced by an optional 3.3L with direct injection that is more powerful than the 3.5 at 290 horespower AND more efficient
3) Hydraulic power steering is gone, replaced with electric power steering with 3-mode selectable style (sporty, etc.).

And its going to be available very soon, they're shutting down the old 2013 model and releasing the 2014 in second quarter 2013, so roughly 4-5 months from now. I'm excited to see the improvements in mpg efficiency due to the new weight-reducing chassis, electric power steering and the new 3.3 V6.
