He took me twice more for test drives (read- time off work) He noticed the steering locks and he keeps stalling saying he is figuring it out. This has been going on 6 months and I'm tired of it. Now the car pulls heavily left when the road leans. Am afraid to put my winter tires on.
Pulling hard to the left when the road leans is common on most vehicles with power assisted steering. Mine does the same thing.

Default hard pulling

"Pulling hard to the left..."
Respectfully, any hard pulling in any direction is NOT common. Even less so in a 5 month old $36000 car. Moreover, what I am slowly understanding is that steering wheels locking during operation of vehicle is only considered normal and acceptable in the wonderful world of Kia.
The only reason I came back here on this issue is that I hoped someone else shared my problem. I found others on this forum and other ones.
I came from German/Japanese cars and thought this company had turned a new page woth exciting designs and great value. I gave it a shot ... oh well you live you learn....
In Kia's defense I have not contacted the manufacturer... only dealerships (5 of them)... I just don't have the time for this, and am discouraged.

Sounds like some of you Canadian guys are stuck with seriously incompetent or just plain bad dealerships. This is NOT normal behavior and I don't see many reports here of similar issues. While I can understand your frustration, I don't see this as common or "acceptable" with Kias.

Contact Kia corporate and complain about your poor dealership experience with troubleshooting a mechanical problem with your new car. Not sure what you hope to accomplish by venting here.

Best,

Drive any new car with electric power steering...it's not hard to figure out. Our Canadian Kias do pull a little more than they should but its livable. I guess you may have gotten a Lemon. Quit bitching about it online here and actually contact Kia directly. Contacting dealerships isn't going to get you anywhere.

Don't know why Canadian kia's would pull at all let alone more then American kia's. Mine doesn't pull at all, I don't know why u keep going back to the clearly incompetent dealership, u need to contact kia directly. Good Luck I hope u can get it resolved because it really is a decent vehicle.
