Hi all, I sure am glad I found this place. We picked up my wife's new car this past Saturday. It's an EXV6 and has the nav.& sat.radio along with the bluetooth system. The IT guy from the dealership spent about a half hour showing us the features of the car and even paired up my wife's cell phone but it didn't download the contacts list. He said the bluetooth system in the phone was too old. I read all the booklets and checked out videos on youtube. Right now I have two questions, 1-Is there a way to manually add the phonebook and entries? 2-What particular feature do I need to look for in the "bluetooth dept"for a new phone.
I called the IT person last night and he went outside the dealership to try but
he couldn't get anything to work manually either. He said he would contact Kia directly and let me know asap. Thanks guys. Bob.

I have a tracfone and the pairing of the phone was OK but I had to program the the numbers and names one by one, following the instruction in the manual. It's a long process, the car has to be running all that time. Hope this is helpfull. Papajoe

My wife's two year old phone didn't sync the contacts either. My Iphone, no problems. Answer, get an Iphone. Most of the auto manufacturers use the Apple Ipod/Iphone as the benchmark system so it makes sense that they work.

Note: I had a touch diamond and was able to sync contacts.
Also, if you purchase the map update that just came out. It updates the software in the NAV/Bluetooth system. It may be compatible with more phones. It definitely has some changed functionality in the bluetooth area and has an option in the Phone/Advanced section to sync or not sync contacts.
I noticed that more contacts sync with the new NAV/Bluetooth software with my Blackberry Curve 8530 Verizon. Before the update my phone would sync like 70-80 contacts. After the update it syncs 150 contacts.
