Default Turn Signal Lamp Replacement Side Mirror

Found the Turn Signal Lamp cracked (something must have hit it) and found the part (80 bucks yikes). I want to replace it but not sure how to remove the lamp from the sideview. Has anyone attempted this? From the looks of the part it should be easy but I don't want to break anything.

I saw that Kia has repair manuals online at http://www.kiatechinfo.com. (You need to register, but it's free.) It will likely take some browsing, but maybe there you can find what you need.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info, I went through all the tech info and nothing about how to replace the lamp. They only show the location. I might have to call Kia, but I'll bet they want me to pay 100 bucks when its probably simple.

If you look carefully at the diagram you can see how the side mirror attaches to the door and how to remove same by unscrewing the fasteners.

Good luck--Frank

Yeah, it shows you how to remove the entire sideview mirror housing, but I only need to replace the plastic turn lamp that is on the outside. Maybe I am missing something though if you could let me know what document you are looking at.

I just moved it out and gently used a bit of force to pull the mirror off from one side, then moved the mirror inwards and did the same for the other clip. The mirror then came off.

Can you explain a little more? I've got the assembly off but can't get the mirror off to get to the screws.
