Question 06 sorento won't start

06 sorento with 80,000. miles won't start. Started then knocked off in about 2 seconds . Timing belt is new ,put on at dealer. Ran great 12 hours before . Turns over sounds like it's not getting fuel. Any Ideas, where to start?
Tank is full, didn't hear fuel pump but not sure I ever have, battery is strong, ticking noise when I turn the key to on and another processor sounding noise all in the engine compartment. Thanks for any help you can provide

Sequence of events????

Took to dealer for TB.
Ran great 12 hours before no start.
Turns over, not getting fuel.

If this is correct they need to look at it.

Could be a number of things. The problem with these engines is everything that you need to check is buried under the ICV for the most part. Plugs, coil, wires, compression and timing.

Simple first step thou.

With key off and in hand.
Open hood.
Look at the right side (passenger) by airbox.
Small Black relay looking thing with rubber covered push button.
That is the FUEL PUMP SAFETY SWITCH and RESET
Push it and it will click
Go inside put key in and turn it and start vech.
If still no start then that was not the problem and move on. Thou it is possible the pump is bad and tripped it before it could start now again.
If starts but does the same thing in 2 secs it dies that is the system you need to address.
If starts and stays running then that was it and it was reset now.
Close hood make mental note and move on. If it does it in a week again. Then that is the issue now and it will keep doing it (tripping) at ramdom times till you address that system.
