Default 2006 Sorento - Heater blows cold air

I have a 2006 Sorento LX with auto climate system. When I have the heater blowing, everything seems fine when I'm doing highway speeds, but if I'm in stop and go traffic (or idling) the fan starts blowing cold air. This happens regardless of whether the system is set to "auto" or not.
I don't know if the problem is that a mixer door is allowing more outside air to come in, or if the heater core suddenly has colder fluid in it.
Any thoughts on the problem, solutions, or testing would be appreciated.

LOL... yeah you got it.
I didn't think to check, until after I posted the question. I guess it proves that you should always start by checking the simple things, instead of jumping to the assumption that it's something major and costly to fix.

The question I have is how did your coolant level get so low to begin with? Do you see any visible leaks anywhere? The coolant level has to be pretty low to blow cold air.

I don't know how it got so low. I don't see any leaks, or puddles on the ground. (And nothing strange in the oil or exhaust smoke) There was still fluid in the tank, but it was quite a bit down from the fill lines. (Which are very hard to see on my truck.)
