Default Does warranty include a rental?

I had to have my sorie towed to the dealership yesterday because it won't go in drive. I forgot to ask the dealership at the time, but does the warranty include a rental car?

Kia does not officially have loaner cars, it is up to the dealer to supply them.

On a 2009 first owner with a full 5/60-10/100 intact (non commercial use, this is VERY subjective too) and under 60,000 you get.

5/60 covers FREE LOANER/RENTAL/DEMO (what ever they wish to do even a GOOD used car off lot has been done and is ALL that is required). Thier motivation and only concern/liability to you is "FREE car to you/SOMETHING (good) for you to drive/No extreme inconvinence to you and your normal sched". NOTE: you get greedy (this terms has wide margin of meaning) they will not play nice with you. Examples are LOANER is a SOUL and you bought a Sorento with NAV. You demand a Sorento as that is what you bought and your a road salesmen and need little more room plus you jsut want the NAV you paid for. This will not fly in both cases most times unless they wish to do it. They do not have to do anything over the SOUL. But a Sorento/Sedona as your a Soccer Mom with five kids will if possible since you bought the Sorento. But it might be a used one off the used car lot. And you live with it.

5/60 covers FREE TOWING and Roadside Assit.

NOTE: Update as of 10:31am as per Kiaplace post which was not here when I posted (delay/came thru while I was writing?) check your paperwork owners manual and dealer. All the ones I saw had it written that they give you a loaner under the 5/60. And in some cases the 10/100. Mine does in the FACTORY paperwork. But mine was used and mine has a extended warrenty on it. And at 5/60 that kicked in then till 10/100 and for sure I get ROAD SIDE/FREE LOANER-RENTAL for anything.

When I called the dealer, they said that since they don't have any loaner vehicles, and I'm not the original owner, the best they could do would be to go through a 3rd party such as enterprise at $25 a day

I take it you as well know that your 2009 has only a 5/60 from date of IN SERVICE on it right? NOT 5/60-10/100 from day you BOUGHT IT.

Also are they paying for the $25? or would you be PLUS the insurence that is not in the $25. That car will be @$35-40 a day to you. Unless your personal policy like mine, covers any car you drive including rentals. This also is a excelent place to look for a free rental car too. Read your policy.

Did you buy from this dealer too? Used or not they are being a bit rude if you did. If you did not, then ok you knew much of this before now on this 2009 vech you own. Yours is a oddball vech for most here to wrap their head around.

I did not buy it from the Kia dealership. I would have had to pay the $25, but I didn't really try negotiating anything, as the dealer is about 50 miles away, and we have a 2nd vehicle anyway.

All is clear now. Have you made note of your inservice date for future reference? With the clock ticking on your 5/60 there is a big margin for error of when it goes MIA/RIP if you do not know it. 60,000 is obvious yes. But the 5 is not always and is not the day you bought it nor the day many times the first owner did. In theory it could be 7/XX/2008 on.
