The gap should be 1mm on new plugs. They're a pain to get to. If you do it without removing the intake plenum, you'll need to remove the throttle body, and both plenum side braces. Then the plastic covers on the head covers to expose the coils and plug wires. It's not real easy, but can be done. If you do remove the intake plenum (which is a chore if you're not familiar with them), it's a lot easier to access everything. If you're going to replace the wires too, you have to remove the plenum, the upper coolant pipe and the upper thermostat housing. Replacing the wires is a serious pain in the a**.
