Default rear wiper problem

2005 Sorento
As you can see from the pic the wiper doesn't do a good job cleaning the window. It seems like the spring that pulls the arm down is junk or maybe another problem i am missing. Anyone had this issue or have ideas to resolve it. It will probably be a DIY as the nearest dealer is 250 plus miles away. I just am hoping for some ideas before I tear into it.
Thanks
edit
well if I can figure out how to post a pic you could see the problem

Try bending the wiper arm in towards the window a little towards the outer end (So you don't disturb the way it seats in the retainer at rest). Worked for me

(That presumes your wiper is actually good)

Wiper Blade is less than 3 months old.
Will try just bending it slightly.

I tried tweaking on it by hand and not better. Time to break out some tools. I just really don't want to tear something up.

Mine was not as bad as in your pic and only happened over time. Didn't need anything else to fix it. (I park on city street, so quite possible someone "had a go" at it at some point). Does the blade flex OK to follow curvature of screen - possibly some dirt in the mechanism??
