Default Spare Key

Hello! My dad recently bought a Used Kia Sorento 2003 at a dealership, but only gave him one key because the previous owners only turned in one key. I was wondering where i would be able to get a second key for emergencies. Can anybody help me?

I had spare keys made for my 2005 sorie at the local ACE hardware store. Can't remember how much each key was but they were cheaper than going to the dealership for copies.

 You talkin to me?

Assuming it is a US car there are no chips in the 2003. Any key shop can make them.

My 03 does not have a chip in it so you should be able to take yours to a dealer or anyplace that has the blank and machine to cut them.

Like everyone said. ASSUMING you in USA a 2003 has no chip. And assuming that you have one OEM key and not a duplicate now. Any locksmith or mobil truck based version of one too. Or most GOOD places that cut keys and have the blank can make you one. $ varies allot and dependent on blank cost and style of key. From a $5 plus tax double sided Key cut for my 91 740 to $25 plus tax double sided key cut for my 96 960. I got one key and one remote as well when I bought my used 2004 Sorento LX. But dealer got me two more OEM keys and one remote more in a few days and they were free.
If you go to ACE HARDEWARE or the like do not forget to take the vech or go with out it and try all keys cut on the vech in ALL LOCKS before you pay for them. If they do not work right or you have any issues do not pay nor take one till it works for you perfectly. Have them cut and recut and recut another one till they get one that is right. NOT all places are created equal nor have hired people that can do a job. If they cut two keys and they work not totally well move on to another place.
