Default Fault codes P1325 & P1182

Problem with 2004 Sorento when engine suddenly cut going uphill after approx. one mile. Restarted after about one minute. Engine runs smoothly and starts well. Happened second time at exactly the same point!!
Fault codes P1325 (Glow relay abnormal?) and P1182 (no idea) show up.
Can anyone advise please?

Presume it's a diesel so go to www.uksorento.com and ask there. Much more info (and a Kia diesel tech) for this type of problem. (possible fuel filter prob would be fairly typical from symptoms). Several related threads so have a search around.

Thou yes I am in the USA and we have no 2.5 I4 diesel here only 3.5/3.3/3.8 V6 gas. Here is a thought as I have some diesel experience. If you are getting a code P1325 and it is infact a "glow plug relay abnormal" then it might shut the eng down due to it. The system thinks that the glow plugs have switched back on while running. Either due to the replay telling it so or they really did. And that is not permited to happen. Hense the total safety shutdown. And then a very easy restart once the relay resets. Think of it as the same as the over boost safety shutdown for the turbo but for the glow plugs instead. Big brother keeping the eng in one peice for its own good at all costs. Maybe if you found out what a P1182 is, it might as well shed light or support that theory as well. If a P1182 were for sake of argument was a "bad cold start sensor" that would go hand in hand with the P1325. Just a thought.

P1182 is normaly due to
1 low fuel supply caused by blocked fuel filter or filter in tank or
air leakage
2 exessive leak off from one or more injectors

first check bleed screw on fuel filter is tight
then check fuel filter in tank ( lift right rear seat base, lift flap in carpet
remove 4 screws in cover then remove 2x fuel pipes elec conector
remove sender unit screws
remove sender unit and inspect filter inside swirl chamber for black
particals (paint flakes) if any found clean out and replace main fuel filter
every 2000 to 4000 miles until no more black particals are found

if filters are ok a injector leak off test is recommended to identify any faults with injectors soory to say but thats a job for a dealer

Well based on what I thought might be the case for the P1325. And now 267 and his reply for the P1182. You have your answer for the stalling, both are telling it to shut down. The CPU is reading the codes and doing it for the engs own good. If it were just a P1182 (fuel) it might not. Thou the power might be way down. But both codes are being tripped by something and it thinks that the eng is in danger due to it. A good diesel tech is your best bet now. Unless you wish to trial and error your way thru. It might get to the point on the road that it shuts down and will not start again in the mean time.
Or it might just not start one day in the driveway or garage. Diesels are still rather simple verus the gas eng. Even the electronic govern diesel ones these days. Sadley you have a fault code in both main systems of a diesel. Fuel and startup fire/heat (glowplugs). If you can clear the codes and then drive it and see which code hits first if one does. As soon as CEL comes on take code reading and see if it is P1182 or P1325. Or if they both hit at the same time before you can turn off and pull codes. It might be that the fuel code hits later when it is fuel starved. But the Glow plug relay hits right after startup. Makeing it two things/issues unrelated.

Thanks everyone for your input. Fuel filter changed and codes cleared. Starts and runs fine now with no codes tripping in or any apparent fault.
