Default replacing vapor "evac" canister

looks like it should be pretty straight forward. The plastic case is under the passenger side i see, looks like it will just involve pulling a few hoses and replacing them on the new one. i ordered the vapor canister and a air type filter... anything else i need? anyone done this?

why you want to replace it I am not sure ..but as you say just a few pipes ....if you search through my post you will find I extended the air inlet up to the rear light as water gets pulled in and fu88888ks the engine ..just 12 mm pipe and some rt angle fittings ...

the dealer said that the fuel pump is going out and is the cause of my problems... and that the evap canister is clogged and some of the charcole is getting into the pump and tank... also the paper filter is supposed to be replaced every 30k miles

no, the evap canister is so so in changing. u may need a saw to trip the plastic some to put it back in. when i changed mine, the dealership mechanic mentioned they have to cut the plastic by the screws to get it back onto the supports. (hope all that makes sense) 1 of the problems i had, was you can't see some of the hoses when you reattach them. pretty much have to feel around for the connections.
