hi , im still learning about this new ( to me ) second hand car , and so far i love it.
I got underneath yesterday to grease the prop shafts , found my grease gun nozzle was too big to fit into the small space offered by the universal joint but got there in the end. the front propshaft seemed to not slide at the splines so i'll have to remove it and try and free it up.
anyway while there i would see if the front diff was locking but it wasnt. with the ignition on i heard the pump running and a stream of air coming from a disconnected hose. found the nipple on top of the diff , pushed it back in and now the diff locks.
this hose seems to be under low pressure , so is there supposed to be a clamp securing hose to the diff? I dont know the cars history so dont know why it was unplugged anyway.
