I have an 05 Sorento and I changed out the radio today and after I finished I would turn the key and all the dash lights and gauges work but no crank. None of my interior lights turn on either. The new radio I installed turns on and works so I'm not sure where the problem came from.
Ok, I found the problem for the starting, my ignition fuse was blown. But I still have the problem with my lights, none of the interior work and my brake lights are out. Checked the fuse for the lights and it's good.
I assumed you disconnected the ground before doing the wiring. Look for a blown 10amp fuse. Check fuse panel inside the car. As numerous fuses are involved use a 12v test light. Hit both sides of the metal area on top of the fuse. Some fuses the ignition switch will need to be on to check. This will save time you can use an ohm meter and ohm both sides of the fuse prongs to test.
Still haven't found the issue, I did find a wire with two connectors above my pedals and I cannot find where it came from, it looks like it goes to my ignition switch, not sure if it has anything to do with the brake lights being out. Ignition works just no brake lights or interior lights...

The blue splice connector is not original equipment if it looks like the item in the link. Use a DVOM and check for voltage on both black wires. If no voltage use a DVOM and check for ohms. It's likely a ground.
You have a brake light switch by the brake pedal. Use a DVOM and check both sides of the switch push in switch and recheck. Reply what you find.
