Greetings. In case you all missed it, I got my first Sorento on Saturday. I am looking to put new speakers and radio in it. When I shop for said items, it asks me if mine is a Sorento LX or an LX Sports Package. What's the difference and what does it matter for a radio? Thanks in advance.

In the US model, the LX Sport has a small amplifier under the driver seat, and the shifter and steering wheel are leather wrapped, where the non-sport are not. When replacing the radio/speakers, the wiring is different to support the amplifier turn on and crossover/amplifier combination.

You should be able to call any Kia dealer with your Vin# to have them verify the factory equipped features.

For 2008 the LX Sport Package included:

Spoiler
245/65R17 Tires/Silver Alloy Wheels
Black Interior
Leather Wrapped Shift Knob and Steering Wheel
Fog Lamps

And my LX with Sport Package does have the amp under the driver seat.
