Default 2009 Amanti

A friend was told by the local Kia dealer that they wouldn't be selling 2009 Amanti's. The Kia website still shows the 2008 Amanti though all other models are 09's. I did a search on this website about the 09 Amanti and there was speculation Kia would do a redesign in 09. Anyone hear anything about new Amanti's?

Hi Ray,
Someone at that Kia dealership is simply mistaken. 2009 Kia Amanti cars are in stock now at our local Kia dealer already. They appear to be a carry over from the 2008 model. Long live the Amanti!

I see the Canadian Kia website lists the 09 Amanti, but the US website doesn't, it is still showing as an 08. My friend was told he would have to special order an Amanti from Korea and it would take several months to take delivery. Maybe for some reason Kia decided not to stock 09's in the US though they do in other countries.

Why? Why pay that much for a car that isnt worth it?

because it's a luxury sedan and it's better than paying an outrageous price for a lexus or beemer.

That's right Kiaracer. I had a couple Buicks, one a Park Ave, before I bought the Amanti. The Amanti has all the toys I need and is the most comfortable car I've owned - and that includes one Caddy from the early 90s. And since I bought it used, the price was excellent. Lsixer seems to be a mere troll based on his posting history, so I chose to ignore him. When I want to have fun, I fire up my Chrysler Crossfire.

Kia has held onto the Amanti for almost 4 years after it's Hyundai clone, the XG350, was discontinued. I wouldn't be surprised to see a Kia badged version of the Azera when Hyundai freshens up the exterior of that model for 2010.
