Question Realigning the side of the console

My dear, sweet husband decided to run some wires down the left side of the console (2003 Kia Optima)in the front and can't get the piece to slide back in (wires are removed now). If you are sitting in the drivers seat it is the piece just to the right of your leg, forwards of the actual console itself. Can anyone help? I don't want to have to take it to the dealer and pay them to replace it, if at all possible. There is only one screw in it and we can't see any other way to get the console loose, or what the problem is.

Thanks!

JC, you are showing commendable restraint. Have you tried using his head to realign it? LOL

Sorry I can't be more help.

Red face

I will take a photo and post it tomorrow - but now I have a new problem. The AC AND fan suddenly quit. Worked one day, doesn't today. I can understand if the AC needs recharging but the fan should still work, shouldn't it???
