Default Check Engine Light On

So, my check engine light came on twice already, the first time when it reached 80,000kms. Now it is 100,260kms and the light just came on.
I know Honda has a trick to re-set it, does the 2001 Kia Magentis have a trick to do so as well ?

well, only reset it after you had your engine serviced, specially the timing belt.

Welcome to the forum.

You can clear the stored error codes in the ECU by disconnecting the battery for five minutes, but if any fault exists the CEL will remain on when you start again. In that case you need to first repair the problem, then clear the stored error codes.
It's best to get the codes read - it may be indicating a serious problem.
