Angry Kia Magentis, please help!

Bought a 2003 Magentis 2 years ago with 125,000 kms. I now have 170,000 kms. I have already replaced many parts, expensive parts. Just the other day my car wouldn't start, they replaced battery. Four days later, I driving on 118, when the car started to lose power and shut down and wouldn't restart. CAA towed the car to Kia. They called me the next day and said it was the alternator. 600 dollars and on my way home, turned off car at grocery store and guess what the car wouldn't start. Kia once again picks up car and now tells us it is a timing belt. They replaced timing belt and I am on my way to pick it up, and hopefully it doesn't break down again. Asked if the original alternator was originally a good part. They said both parts were no good. Odd they would both go at the same time along with the battery. I will let you know if I make it home. I have also replaced 4 power steering belts, front door locks due to always being locked in or out. Replaced windshield washer pump plus lots more. Have to go get my car. Just let me know if anyone else has had this problem with car shutting down and not restarting and if it was anything other than the timing belt.
Thanks in advance,
Luckyl
