Yes there is such a thing. As well as there is such a thing as a BALANCE SHAFT belt on some vechs. Not knowing the engine your wife has it is impossible to tell you if it has one, not all vech have one. But if it does it is LIKE a T/B (much much smaller thou) and inside the timing cover in the lower eng area and runs the OIL PUMP. If you have one do it only when you do teh T/B as that has to come off first to get to it. And DO NOT, NOT do it if yuor doing a T/B. As you will be doing it later and have to go thru all that again jsut for teh Oil PUMP BELT. Just be smart the first time your in there and NOT CHEAP! It will come back to bite you if so.

Again see above as it might have one. Why do you need to know? Did someone tell you it needs to be replaced now? Did you go to the parts store and ask for a TB and they asked if you need the OIL PUMP belt as well? If so are you doing the job yourself? If these LAST TWO questions are hard to answer you should not be doing the job. As
1)You do not have the proper book/manual to look at which would have told you what you need to know already with pictures.
2)See 1 and not a job for you to try to tackle with your skill level.

If the first question is yes then, a trip to the parts counter at the dealer is a five min verifaction. Look up the Timing/Oil Pump systems info. If they show you on your 2.4 got a TB (valves) and a OIL PUMP drive TB belt you do. Many times Auto Parts store info is wrong. Dealer microfishe/Sat link is always right. That is NOT to say the part numbers are or right upto the min. Sometimes supercedes lag. But the fact if or if not you got a belt at all is not wrong.
