Default power door locks

I have a 2003 Kia Optima SE V6. I am having problem unlocking the 4 doors with the power lock switch. When I try to unlock the doors with the switch, I hear a relay operating but the doors do not unlock. The doors do lock using the switch. I also can't unlock the other doors with the remote but the drivers door does unlock and lock. What could be the problem?

on the power remote you have to hit the button twice, have you tried that? im not sure about the power lock switch but maybe someone else can help you with that. if not id take it to the dealer and have them check it out

I have the exact same problem with my 2003 Optima SE V6. If you find out how to "reset" it or how to fix the problem, please post or email.

Seems you may have an lock activator motor problem. I had to have the driver's side replaced to resolve the issue in my 02 Optima. Covered under warranty.

Default 2002 Optima door locks stopped locking - FIX

Okay, my 2002 Optima was luckily given an extended warranty because of the mis-stated HP on my model. So, 6 year warranty instead of 5.

Good, because at 5 years my automatic door locks stopped working. They would unlock fine, but when you pushed the lock button on the key you would hear a clicking sound but they door wouldn't lock. Sucks right!

So, I took it to the dealer and if it wasn't for the warranty, they would of charged my $100 just to look at the car. Damn!

So, they said the next day that the ETACS went out and needed to be replaced. Part # 95400-3C300. It is a control module of some sort under the dash.

Anyways, if your car is out of warranty and this happens to you, I suggest you order that part and change it yourself. Probably save yourself $100 because the part is probably $20.

It took almost a week for the part to come in by the way.
