Question Door panel removal

Hi people,
My trunk release switch has failed on my 2001 optima and i need to get the drivers door panel off to get at it. i got the screws out from around the panel but couldnt figure out how to get the 2 small buttons off the upper side. Does anyone know how to get these out ?

just use a flat head screwdriver and pop em out. i have a rio but if im not mistaken the button covers are th same. just pop em out and be careful as to not scrath the panel all up. once u get them off u can take the screws out and then pull out at the bottom of the panel and then pull up to remove it

I've done the front two speakers and taking those two buttons out wasn't a problem. Just use a thin "ice pick" tool. If you can not get your hands on one then I guess a paper clip will do the trick. Hopefully that helped, good luck with the project.

Put the new switch yesterday. Works like a charm. Thanks for the help on getting the buttons out. I wasnt sure how exactly to get them out but you guys info did the trick. Thanks again
