Thumbs up

Hello! I am having some problems with my '01 Kia Optima LX V6. The Check Engine light came on, took it to Auto Zone and the following codes came up:

P0455 - A large leak exists in the evaporative emission control system

P0715 - A malfunction exists in the input circuit for the turbine speed sensor

I looked up some info on the turbine speed sensor and thought it sounded like a DIY fix but after calling all the local parts stores found that no one carries or has heard of that sensor - I take it I would have to get it from Kia? If I get the part would it be relatively easy to install or do I need to take it to a repair shop and/or Kia service center?

Also, found nothing about the first problem other than maybe a gas cap? Which I was told was "unlikely" the problem.

Any info would be greatly appreciated about both topics!

The evap code your getting I think calls for a replacement of a evap valve that has went bad. As for the other code, I can't help you there.
