K&n Air Filter?

I don't know how anyone else's 1G 2.5L V6 performs but mine has always been fairly weak. Smooth but no torque anywhere in the range. I have a K&N filter on the way, hoping that's going to help.
Anyone have any similar experiences? Cheap upgrades to add more mojo? Any chip mods?

You're not going to experience the "HP" that you're prolly wanting with just a "drop-in" airfilter. I do have one on my '04 LX and for ME, there was a HUGE difference with performance,.. but then again.. the old one was the ORIGINAL "paper" airfilter that came with the car.. lmao! newayz, other than that I've upgraded my sparkplugs to NGK V-Power and my headlights from halogen to 6K HIDs. Nothing "Tuner" about my car.. practical upgrades..

NEWayz, for you.. trying upgrading your stock airfilter to CAI; stock header to an aftermarket performance header; and stock exhaust to a performance exhuast. That's a pretty good start.. BUT it NOT cheap by far.. heh
