I have recently picked up an 04 Optima LX. I would like to put plus size rims on it but I'm not sure how big I can go or the bolt pattern and offset stuff. Does anyone know what will work.

i guess the other post didnt tell the specs but go to any online wheel and tire seller and its real easy to find. here ya go on the specs.

4-114.3 38-40 offset, 40 is prolly the way to go.

if you look on ebay look for rims for an scion xB, just make sure it says it has the right offset.

I have two sets of rims, 17x7J and 18x7.5JJ and they both look good on my optima, so you can go as far as 18's before it gets out of hand.
One set I came across in the garbage and the other I bought off of craigslist.org.
So just look and you shall find the rims for your ride! Good luck!

I own the same car your looking to buy a wheel and tire package for. I bought the car with the package already on the car from the dealer. 18" Wheels is as big as it get's on an '04 Optima with some Z-rated tires along with it. You may be able to go bigger but I don't reccomend doing so. I'm not sure about offsets and bolt patterns which is what count's when buying the package. Give discounttire.com a try?
