I have (3) dealer's around here and get a dozen answer's depending on which service adviser you ask.

Timing belt, it's idler pulley brg, it's tensioner, water pump and gasket, spark plugs and it's wires, fuel filter, other belts, trans fluid chg.....etc.

We're over a grand here gang and climbing .......dah!!

WHAT does the Forum think is reasonably ness. at 60k??

Kia Corp is recommending most models have their timing belts changed at 40,000 miles or 5 years. The manuals say 60,000 miles in most cases but Kia has changed the requirement. There have been reported belt issues happening sooner than the 60k schedule. Most dealers I have spoken with are aware of this change and reflect it in their service bay signs and hand out literature.

At 65K Miles 02 Optima I have done the trans fluid complete
change for around $230 at an Xpress Lube.
Which is where I get oil changed every 3500 miles.

Trans fluid was done around 55k or so.

Airfilters each 20k or so.

Front brakes at 60k. Rears were amazingly un-worn.

Have had to buy two tires so far.

Soon to look and see if there is a fuel filter
(as the shop manual shows) or no fuel filter (as some people are reporting).
Also going to gather up timing belt and water pump and go after these.
I have a new serpentine belt also, will do that with the others.

at our dealership we recomend the timingbelt and tensioner (if not done at 45K) a trans flush, spark plugs, radiator flush, pcv valve, rotate and balance of tires, flush the brake fluid, scan for codes, checking all lights

I beg to differ when I hit 60k the only thing I changed was the timing belt and that was it, my spark plugs were in excellent shape, I drove them to 100,000 miles and they were the original plugs mind you. I never did a coolant flush or a change of pcv valve but I did do a trans flush around 45k.
