I recieved this email from liz via the "Report this post to a moderator" link. Here it is......

I have a 2005 kia optima and the headlights keeps flickering and I have taken it the shop five different times and they can not seem to find it. Several people have drove my car and said they same thing. What else can I do I have already called the company but they said nothing they can do but the car is brand new and still under warranty.

Default headlights flickering

if liz is out their,i am having the same problem on my 06 optima and again the dealer cannot seem to find anything wrong. they claim every thing is normal. if this were the case i would not be on this forum trying to find a solution to this problem. has anyone out there had or have this problem,or is it "normal" to have your headlights flicker

OK, this is an old post but in case someone else finds it:
Check 2 things.
1) Check the alternator for AC output. It is probably no longer producing usable DC voltage.
2) Run a ground wire from the battery to the headlights. If it stops flickering you need to add an additional ground wire from battery to body.
3) Check for corrosion in both the rear and front bulbs.

Maybe check out my post for "2002 Kia Optima Electrical Problem". It may have some advise for the head lights flickering you can use.
