I just got back from a 5 hour trip up north the bear lake man i love the hids i well never go back to stock head lights really can see the deer up ahead. Got flashed 2 times, once up and once back. I would recommend anyone to get hids before any other thing best investment i have done
the reason that you have to readjust them is the actual area in the bulb where the light is being produced will be in a different location with hid than with a tungsten blub. best way to descibe it is if you have ever used a mag light, you know how you can move the lens and create a different beam pattern, same thing with our headlights since there are projector style ( it is not as bad with regular lens type, but can still cause problems). I noticed that i got a much wider beam pattern with my hids than with stock, the way i fixed it was to lower the driver side headlight futher down than the passenger side. This way i dont blind people as much and can still see things way down the road on the shoulder of the highway/dirt road. i get flashed every once in a while but dont really care because I know that im not near as annoying as the @$$ holes with lifted trucks that blind everybody on the road and think its funny. sorry it took so long to respond the update to the site for some reason did not like me at all and then i decided i was selling my car and now im back to not selling my car so i will be on the boards again.
btw, i just ordered my foglight kit and the bulbs are NOT h1, found out the hard way they are 9006 on my 06 optima foglights, waiting for the right kit now
