Question

Does anyone know how to remove the automatic shift knob on a 2004 optima? I want to put on an aftermarket one.

Not too sure how to remove it. There doesnt seem to be a set screw in it like the one in my Sorento.
Sorry
Good luck

It's back!!!!

I now must ask the same question.... I am trying to remove my shift knob so I can reverse the + and - symbols on the shifter cover (I recently reversed my shifter).

I have tried twisting and tugging... but it still won't budge!!!

Any ideas?

- Tum

Seriously.... why does everybody avoid this topic?

I REALLY need to get the shifter knob off! I have a gapping hole where my console goes because I haven't fixed my shift-cover plate yet!

ANY AND ALL IDEAS/SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!
