only model avail in australia, used to driving toyota avalon, never had a problem, now considering a trade on optima a/a any reason why not?

I have a 04 Optima. It is an awesome car. No problems at all.

I'd go with the Optima... I have had issues but they are more dealer related (i suspect they tampered with the Odometer causing a headlight issue)

Bought mine in Sept '03 and to date its done nearly 38,000 miles without a single problem. The Magentis/ Optima gets my vote

I vote the Optima, too. I purchased a '02 LXV6 new and absolutely love driving it. Only problem was with a lock activator that got replaced under warranty. My dealer is excellent and I believe if you have a good dealer, things go much better for the Kia. Maintenance is the key to a healthy Kia long term.
