Kia Rio Emissions Light + code P1700

Hello, we've got a 2003 Kia Rio with about 73,000 miles on it. Yesterday the emissions dash light came on, though the car continued (and still continues) to seem to run just fine. We took it to a local car parts store and they got a code off it: P1700. Any ideas? Thanks - Jay

P1700 O/D OFF lamp circuit malfunction
DTC diagnostic tree has you check the wiring to the O/D off switch and trans control module.

Now how sure are you that it is an emissions dash light?
