Default 2005 Rio won't go over 20mph

Everything was running fine until i got about a mile from work and stopped at a stop light. Now the car won't go over 15-20mph. The RPM revs, then just drops back. It feels like its trying to shift, then gives up, then tries again.

What could be the problem?

Oh, and the check engine light isn't on, and its a 2005 rio, 73k miles on it.

I've been reading that is might be the throttle position sensor, but I'm not sure.

Check the code.. Could be a transmission control issue also.

I had the same problem, it was the wiring harness to the Maf sensor. Probably one or the other. Hope its the wiring harness cause the Maf sensor is about $500.00
