kiapammy Newbie Join Date: Oct 2008 Posts: 1 Gallery: 0	kia help ok so my check engine light came on and it showed two generic codes p1780 and p1693 I know this has to do with my transmission or drivetrain, but its so generic give me a place to start. its a 2002 kia rio. how it started was I was at a stoplight and let off the break to move up and it surged forward, put on the break and the check engine light came on. checked the codes and thats what it read. yes I checked the transmission fluid, no its not red anymore but its full. from here it reads like its my transmission control module but not sure.
