Cool electrical problem

2004 kia 51000 miles. every time I press the brake pedal my dash cluster
and side marker lights light up.also when I turn the lights switch half way the center brake light stays on constantly. any input would be appreciated.

the rio is notorious for little electrical gremlins, mine is no different. The lighting of the dash cluster and the braking may indicate a short or a problem wih the voltage regulator..but thats only a shot in the dark guess. as for the center brake light, mine does that whenever i brake hard or long, i wasnt aware the 05 rio had a brake level sensor. and according to my book it doesnt.
