rio gas pedal goes limp

When im driving my '01 rio rs 116km all of asudden it just coasts...when i press down the gas pedal nothing happens(rpms go down to idle speeds), car is still running but im just coasting pedal is limp, wont rev up, then outa nowhere everything is ok and i can press down on the pedal and istart moving again. It happens once in awhile. Stereo is off, no power drained. Any Ideas please help! thanks!!!

You may want to check your throttle body linkage, spray it down with a good lubricant and work it by hand. Check your TB cable as well, could be damaged and getting stuck.

Happens to me once in a while when gearing down, car is in neutral and revving high, just won't come down til I tap the gas. Gets pretty dirty under the hood.
