Question custom air intake

Hi im new at this forum ive been looking around for a few days now and i was wondering if there was anyway to build a custom short intake for an 01 rio?

yeah some 2.5" mandrel bent pipe, a cone air filter and a mig welder.

I cheaped out on an sri a couple of years ago, meant to get a better one but it's perfectly functional. Use the flex pipe from your current setup, get a cone filter, and some exhaust reducers from the filter to the sensor. Tape it up to whatever color you want

Yeah, yeah, redneck thing to do but I did it for very cheap.

sweet thanx i was thinking about goin to like auto zone and buying the pipes and filter from there ...would that do?

you can remove it from the bottom of the airbox. Its held on by 2 bolts I think its a 10mm bolt. Its been 2 years since I did the setup
