Default Airbag help

Hi everyone? how's everyone doin?

btw, i'm a 2001 KIA Rio hatchbacks owner from Indonesia.
I just had a crash and my driver airbag is deployed (Indonesian KIA Rios are imported from Korea and do not have passenger side airbag). As now i need to replace it, i have few questions which are:

1. what parts that i need to buy to replace the airbag?
2. i have been looking for used airbag module on ebay and i found some cheap airbag module from United States. Will the airbag module from US KIA Rio fit into the Indonesian version KIA Rio? Is it recommended to buy used airbag module?

thank you very much for any help.

you well need to buy a airbag module, sensor (the one that set it off), and spring in the steering wheel. I do believe thats it. Not sure if a USA one well work in you country. It mite not work because of crash test mite be higher where you are or lower. compared to the usa or canada one. I know the USA crash tests there cars at lower speeds then canada does.

Well you need to replace the airbag control module, and I would replace the impact sensor. The clock spring in the steering wheel should be fine. Now since your car is a single front airbag the ACM most likley is different from US cars since we have dual front bags. G1/G2 Rio's did not use dual stage airbags, airbag deployment is based on the crash sensors and airbag's deploy at speeds much lower than IIHS,DOT-NCAP, EURO-NCAP etc All the tests are virtually identical, and speed differences are negligible, the real difference is China, India, and the old Russian test that is being phased out, as Russia goes Euro-NCAP.

Even if the airbags are identical USDM and S.E. Asia will the Indonesian customs allow the bag to be shipped in, remember airbags are classified as an explosive. Most carriers do not want the hassle / liability
