Default AC problems - something dealership will not tell you!

My Kia recently had its battery replaced. afterwards...the car would die when turning on the AC. I looked EVERYWHERE on the web for an answer, but to no avail. They dont want you to know this secret! I called the dealership and they would not help unless I brought it in and spent money.

The solution = Lie Lie Lie

My wife had to pretend to be sick in order to get the dealership to tell us how to fix the problem.

now I am going to let the secret out!

If you have the same problem.... disconnect the (-) terminal from the battery for 2 minutes, then reconnect. drive the car for ten miles with the AC turned on. dont worry if it dies...just keep restarting the car and drive. The computer will reset. No more problems! this is not explained in the manual either!

They were going to waste our time and charge us to do this simple act.

Screw big money!

Fascism sucks!
