03 RIO VSS Wire location and color

Trying to finish the install of an aftermarket cruise control. Of course, the documentation supplied lists the color and location of the VSS wire at the transmission connector, but no such color wire exists there. Does anyone know the correct color of the VSS wire and it's location on an 03 RIO. Also need the color of the tach wire at the diagnostic connector in the engine bay. Many thanks for any help provided.

am also trying to install aftermarket cruise control in 2004 Kia Rio. For the 2004 the VSS is the light green/yellow wire in the ecm wire harness. The tach is brown/red wire in ecm for manual transmission. The automatic transmission is the pink wire in the ecm wiring hanesss.

hope this helps. Haven't got mine up and running yet. trying to sort ut some issues.

Hey guys,

I've called a few dealerships about installing a Rostra cruise system, and they say no, and advise against it because of "high" failure rates. I have, however, found a few shops that will. I'm curious if anyone has photos of a completed installation, how the stalks look and all. Also, are other stalks available? The one I was told could be installed looks like it came from the 1980s. Thanks.
