Default ISC strange test?

Iīve had time today to check my car and following the manual for fuel control system I started to do some tests to the ISC (which I think is causing this suddenly stall)

One of the test says:

With Ignition OFF, disconnect ISC valve connector.
Then Ignition ON (engine OFF) and measure voltage between harness connector B22-1 (to ECM) and GND.
Is measured voltage less than 0.5V?

If Yes Go to step 2.

If No Short to battery voltage in connector B22-1.
Repair as necessary.

Then I measured voltage of ISC connector and ground and it measured 3.63 volts.

But Iīm a little bit confused here:

I went online and looked for rio 2002 procedure to do this test (which has the same 1.5 Liter doch engine as the 2005 model I own) and it says exactly the same thing but the procedure for rio 2005 says something different:

Turn ignition to OFF and disconnect IACV connector and ECM connector.
With ignition ON, measure voltage of IACV opening coil circuit between IACV harness connector and chassis ground.
1) Specifications: below 0.5V

Is voltage within specifications?

Yes: Go to step 2

No: Short circuit to battery between IACV harness connector and ECM harness connector.
Repair as necessary.

So Iīm confused! the 2005 model for USA says to disconnect the IACV and ECM connectors

what is the right way to do the test?

maybe someone wants to make this favor and measure the voltage in their isc (iacv) connector (pin number 1 and ground) and post numbers if itīs measuring less than 0.5 volts with ignition on

thereīs something strange in this the opening side measures 3.63 which is more than .5 volts and the closing side measures .37 volts which is under the spec.

I donīt understand why the manual tells to disconnect the ecm connector too and make the test that way...it simply doesnīt make any sense to me (please correct me if I wrong)

Default I have another question

when you go to parts catalog it shows you 2 different part numbers for ISC

mine has 0K9A220660A

but thereīs another with this part number: 0K24720660

and thereīs a remark for both of them: selective use

whatīs that "selective use" kia is talking about?

itīs the same for TPS there are 2 part numbers available and the remark says: "selective use":

0K24718911

0K30A18911

whatīs the difference? maybe regions of the world too? or climate where the sensors are going to perform? does anybody know? just being curious

anyway hereīs a picture of my ISC

...then you have to measure voltage in each of the 3 connector terminals with ignition ON (engine off, not running)

here are more pictures

in my car the wires go as follow:

the withe wire is pin number 1

the red wire is pin number 2

the green wire is pin number 3

...turn ignition to "ON"

connect your multimeter positive lead to pin number 1 (white wire of the ISC connector) and connect the negative lead to ground (which is basically the chassis of the car) and measure voltage....how many volts measure yours?

continue to measure voltage in the remaining 2 wires of the ISC connector

red wire expected voltage value according to manual : B+ or 12 volts (I just donīt know why they put B+....itīs 12 Volts battery voltage...sounds better to me)

...and finally

measure green wire (pin number 3) expected value: less than 0.5 volts (according to manual)

You should measure B+ (12V) only on pin 2 and as the book says < 0.5 V on the other two pins.
Pin 2 will supply power to the two ISC coils (the open and close coils are internally connected) and the ECU will pull the other side of the coils down to ground, using a alternating signal to position the ISC.
The ECU will change the duty cycle on the open and close coils depending on which way it needs to go.

Typically if your ISC is connected and you turn on the ignition then it should buzz due to the alternating power that the ECU uses for the ISC.
