Default fluttering noise?? help

hi,
i have a 2003 kia rio with 52,000 miles on it. when i start it up and drive it i notice a fluttering type noise coming from the front left of my car. It will not make the noise unless i am moving. The noise tends to be the worst when i am bogging my car ex. fifth gear doing 40, when i go to give gas i hear the noise. if i am coasting the noise is much more quite. can anyone help me with the problem? i just had an alignment and put new tires on the front if that helps at all. the only way i can describe the noise is staticy fluttering sorta, it seems to be coming from the only the front left of the car, it does no affect any gas mileage or performance of the car. your help is much appreciated.
thanks

I had the same noise. However, you could hear mine on idle when you were outside of the car and it did get marginally louder while driving.

I just had my timing belt replaced, and it stopped. I take it was something they had to remove and put back on that was making the noise. I had no performance issues from it whatsoever, so my guess would be it was just a loose pulley.

the pullys are on the right side of the car. Maybe they saw the problem and removed or fixed it

Right. The right side. I figured we were talking about the same area just from a different angle of the car (looking at it opposed to sitting inside of it).

the noise comes from the left side if i am sitting in the driver seat. when it is just idling the noise is absent. The noise is the loudest when i am lugging fourth or fifth. If i let off the gas the noise is almost absent. also when i am in first and second there is no noise. As i get at higher rpms the noise seems to disappear... any thoughts?

its hard to say without hearing it. It could be so many things. It could be coil packs or wires. Those are on the drivers side. Anyway can you record the sound it mite help

My guess is that its air pulsation in the air inlet tract which is more pronounced under wide open throttle under load (lowest inlet manifold vacuum) - this is what the resonator box in the air inlet tract is meant to reduce.

describing the noise i would say it sounds just like air fluttering. there is no grinding noise or any other type of noise. Is this problem dangerous? About how much would it cost if i have to get it repaired? thanks for all the help
