You should wait a few thousand miles until the engine breaks in. Then the mileage can increase...

55 MPH OR 90 KILOMETERS I get about 40 but soon as I hit 65 MPH or 100 KILOMETERS I get about 30 . Everyone passes me? I drive 100 miles per day and that Kia Rio runs great even in Manitoba at -35 C. Needs to be plugged in when temps drop below -25C and use synthetic oil.

2002 Rio, around 25mpg average. (22-27 mpg)

It's always been like that. The sticker in the window said it only gets 25-30 mpg.

How do you get better mileage? People have done studies showing that even what is listed on the sticker is better than real-world mileage.

Normal every day driving around town and in the country 32 mpg. Longer trip going to grandma's driving like a leisure Sunday afternoon drive 50/55 mph 40-43 mpg.

Again, I have no clue how you'd get mileage like that. Kia's own tests are conservative driving, no indicator of most real-world driving, and they don't get numbers like that.

I could find more sites that talk about crap mileage with Rios than any information the kind of numbers here.

How do I get this amazing mileage?

Change fuel filter? Clean the engine somehow?
