Question Safety issues

Has anyone had issues with Kia Rio and safety with the vehicle. I am looking at purchasing used so I thought I would go to the experts. I have done research and seen issues about brakes and bearings.

I personnally recommend the 06 and up model since I own 1 and it has been fantastic. I've only racked up 37k miles to date with no issues what so ever. The 06's can already be found used for pretty cheap depending on your budget. Watch out for base models unless you like not having ac.

I have a 2002 rio with 150k and have never had any major problems. All parts exceeded normal life spans
