This one's easy. Gently pry up the frame that retains the parking brake boot on the console. Using a 3/8" drive ratchet and a deep 10mm socket, just tighten up the nut on
the parking brake cable...just enough so that you have resistance at about five or six
clicks of tension when you pull up on the lever. Take your time, don't overdo, move the car
and check braking ability by holding in the thumb release button and pulling up on the lever
at the same time. You should be able to stop the car by pulling up strongly on the lever.
If you have a squeely, grinding noise from the rear shoes, it is because the brake cables were too loose. this noise disappears when properly adjusted.
